Jeff Byrd,
Vice-President and General Manager of
Bristol Motor Speedway:

When Sue Ojanen showed up in my office soon after I arrived in Bristol in 1996, I wasn't quite sure what to make of her request for help in reaching our ticket holders to market her new venture, Guest Housing.

Well, it didn't take long to see her sincerity in helping our race fans secure a place to stay in and around Bristol. She put this business together from scratch, the first and only one of its kind at the time, rising to meet every challenge of anticipating the needs of both race fans and home-owners.

We couldn't be more pleased with her dedication to you, our customers. Sue shares our standard of excellence in providing the best in services, and each year we have seen her raise the bar. We share her entrepreneurial spirit as we constantly seek innovations to make your Bristol race experience your finest.

Bristol Motor Speedway believes in giving back to the community. Many of our employees are involved in numerous volunteer groups. Bristol Motor Speedway, as a corporation, supports many outstanding non-profit organizations. One which we are most proud of is Speedway Children's Charities, conceived by Bruton O. Smith, CEO, Speedway Motorsports, Inc.. Speedway Children's Charities is present at all of Bruton Smith's speedways. All of the funds raised through Speedway Children's Charities are distributed in the locale of each speedway and solely for the benefit of children. Sue Ojanen has served as a trustee of Bristol's Speedway Children's Charities since its inception.

Sue serves her community in other ways as well, from her involvement as a business owner in the Bristol Chamber of Commerce, community service on the Bristol City Council, to mentoring young people through internships with Guest Housing.

I am certainly proud of Sue and Guest Housing. She continues to be an asset to Bristol Motor Speedway in attaining our goals of serving our race fans (the best in the world!) as well as the Bristol community. I recommend her services wholeheartedly and with complete confidence.
